Eric Alcala
Are you looking for concrete tools and continuity in your therapy sessions? My focus is on progress from session to session so you feel confident in yourself and relationships. I am a licensed clinical social worker with years of helping others. Worrying about the past and future is overwhelming and exhausting. Together we'll explore your thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Therapy is a place for you to share who you are. I provide a caring, structured, and insightful approach that leads to real progress.

I am honored to help others manage trauma, anxiety, panic, and depression. EMDR and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy are my main approaches. In our first sessions, we'll discuss your story and goals to find the right plan for you. Follow up sessions involve reframing thoughts, reinforcing healthy behaviors, and practicing stabilization techniques.

What is most important in the therapy process is that you feel comfortable with your therapist. As someone that has been a client, I know that a therapeutic relationship can have a positive impact. Click the "My website" link below for online self-booking on my calendar. You can also text, call, or email me. I look forward to finding out how I can help!

About Me
I earned a graduate degree as a Master of Social Welfare at UCLA and Bachelor's degree in Sociology at Boston College. I hold a License in Clinical Social Work in the State of California with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. My expertise comes from years as a case manager and therapist in the Los Angeles Unified School District and helping clients in community mental health and private practice.
Improved self-awareness, empathy, communication, and boundaries are key. These can be areas of focus for our sessions along with your most pressing concerns. All clients deserve a therapist that shows empathy and acceptance. I look forward to finding the right therapy unique to your goals.
