About Me
Ashley Ikeda is a passionate mental health advocate dedicated to transforming an often inaccessible system into one where care is available to everyone. Through years of hands-on experience, she has witnessed firsthand how traditional mental health services frequently fall short—especially for those without Medi-Cal, adequate health insurance, or the means to afford private practice fees. Deeply committed to the belief that mental and physical health are inextricably linked, Ashley champions the idea that mental health care should be as accessible as physical health care.
Her work is driven by a commitment to dismantle the stigma surrounding mental health. Ashley recognizes that many individuals, particularly young people, enter therapy burdened by shame and isolation, unaware that their struggles are both uniquely personal and universally shared. Drawing from her own challenges in finding safe, supportive spaces, she has dedicated herself to creating environments where honest, open conversations about mental well-being can flourish.
In her previous role as an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Program Manager for a teen program, Ashley observed the transformative power of group therapy. She saw how sharing experiences in a compassionate group setting not only fostered healing but also built a sense of community—a vital ingredient for recovery when support networks are hard to come by.
Now, as part of Arielle's Light network of therapists, Ashley Ikeda continues her mission to ensure that quality mental health care is a right, not a privilege, for everyone.
